Gumroad lessons on a Mobile Device
There are several ways in which you can listen to audio lessons purchased through Gumroad on your mobile device.
The simplest method is to use the Gumroad app which is available for both android and Apple devices. Here is a link to the Gumroad app.

There are some problems with this app. The first problem is if you want to listen to individual lessons it uses up your cell phone data plan. To overcome this problem, the app allows you to download into your device the FULL series of lessons. This can take some time and if you do this you should be connected to a Wi-Fi network and not use your cell data to do this (unless you have an unlimited data plan). Remember audio courses can be quite long and so it could take up a large amount of storage space on your phone also it will take some time to download the files depending on your connection speeds. Some audio courses are over 25 hours in length so it’s a huge amount of audio files it would be downloaded to your phone.
I have had some complaints about the Gumroad app from customers. Their main complaint is it’s difficult to control and is not very intuitive. I have forwarded on these complaints directly to Gumroad and they have not been very helpful in giving an idea when the app will be improved.
The other big flaw with this app is it requires that you download the full series of lessons. It does not allow you to download only a few of the lessons. But once it is downloaded into your phone you are not required to be connected to the Internet to listen to the lessons.
I have looked at other delivery methods for my lessons through other sources but Gumroad is the only one that actually has an app that allows you to listen using their app.
My suggested and preferred method
When you buy an audio course through Gumroad you have the option of listening to it by streaming the audio course or downloading. I suggest that you download all the MP3 files to your computer. And then transferring them to your mobile device.
This way you can listen to specific lessons and you have the controls that are allowed through iTunes (that is if you use Apple devices)
